This year's Walk/5K Run will be begin in Widmeyer Park, proceeding to the Western MD Rail/Trail (a flat course) then circling back to the park where awards will be handed out and resource tables will be set up with free give-a-ways and educational hand-outs.
Each year, we hold multiple events throughout the month of April, in recognition of National Child Abuse Prevention Month, to raise awareness, educate, and raise funds for local children in need. Our group is involved in several child/family-friendly endeavors, all of which have been statistically shown to decrease the incidence of child abuse.
Please visit this site for frequent updates about our events, fund-raising, and up-to-date educational materials. We continue to provide information and resources for all individuals that interact with children. We are constantly improving the site and adding more information about our projects, so please browse the site and learn about our group - how we began, our goals, our mission, and our accomplishments to date.
Please don't hesitate to contact us with questions, concerns, or relevant information. We are always seeking concerned citizens, businesses, and organizations to partner with, so that together we can better the lives of local children.
